Amish winter bonnet navy blue

This beautiful Amish style winter bonnet is made of navy-blue polar fleece fabric. The brim of the bonnet measures approximately four (4) inches by approximately nineteen and one half (19.5) inches long.The tail/skirt of the bonnet measures approximately two (2) inches long, to cover the back of the neck area. Which helps to keep the neck area warm in the cold winter. It has two ties made of Navy-blue satin ribbon that measures approximately eighteen (18) inches long by approximately five-eighths (5/8) inch wide. There is elastic across the base of the neck which pulls the bonnet close to keep the cold off the neck.The elastic is completely encased in the fabric.The bonnet is hand stitched along the brim to give a finished edge.This is a standard size that will fit most any woman’s head. It is much warmer than a standard cotton bonnet.I have made many of these, many people who receive them are amazed and comment on how warm and soft it is.This is a wonderful bonnet to wear as a head covering to protect the head and hair from the harsh sun and wind.

The head it is displayed on, measures approximately 22 1/2 inches around. (From the center of the foreheadaround the back of the head to the front forehead)

May be machine washed on gentile cycle, cold water with like colors.Best line dried or placed flat to dry. Bright, dark and vivid colors should be soaked in vinegar water to set the fabric dye prior to washing.
